Zola is in search of an Events + Expo Marketing Manager to lead our grassroots expansion efforts. We’re looking for an upbeat people person who is extremely organized, strategic and motivated. This person is a trade show connoisseur with 3+ years of project management and/or event experience under his or her belt. The ideal candidate can talk to a brick wall if they have to, and a love of weddings is appreciated!

This person will report to the Senior Communications Manager on the marketing team. He/she will be responsible for events all over the country, and will be supervising and mentoring a team of local brand ambassadors. The Event + Expo Marketing Manager will also be responsible for making sure that Zola events and exhibitor booths are on brand, and that we are constantly and consistently providing our couples with the best experience. This is a cross-functional opportunity to work closely with teams including marketing, creative, customer service and operations.

Responsibilities:

Build and implement strategy for all local marketing events and wedding expos / trade shows with the end goal of bringing the Zola brand to couples and wedding vendors across the country

Manage all budgets, processes, partnerships, and programs

Manage the design process internally and externally of all spaces and collateral, making sure that creative is always in line with Zola’s aesthetic and brand voice

Assist with the hiring process for regional brand representatives across the country

Train and manage that team of regional representatives who will attend wedding expos and events, and ensure they are consistently giving an amazing experience and representing the Zola brand according to expectation.

Oversee all operational and marketing strategies for tradeshows and exhibitor booths, including budget management and sales reports

Constantly bring innovation to how Zola is presenting itself in its events

Meet the goals and KPIs determined for the events team

Ability to problem solve and triage issues as they arise

Continuously relay  feedback heard from couples and wedding vendors on their experience in order to improve our wedding planning tools and events accordingly!

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree

The ideal candidate will have at least 3-4 years of experience working in events of all types and 1 year managing direct reports.

Must have strong, friendly, and upbeat verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to train and manage a team

Ability to remain cool, calm, collected and organized, even in times of high volume

Ability to empathize is a must

Must be proficient with computers and able to learn new programs quickly.

Acute attention to detail is a must.

Experience planning and executing relationship building events

Experience in the wedding industry a plus

Ability to represent Zola and be the voice of the company while handling vendors and couples in a professional manner.

This role will require travel
