Director, Marketing Analytics and Customer Insights

The Director, Marketing Analytics and Customer Insights is responsible for developing new and improving existing frameworks for marketing channel effectiveness as we rapidly scale marketing investment. This role will be a thought leader, bridging quantitative and qualitative data to drive actionable insights.

The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership skills with deep marketing measurement and attribution skills as well as demonstrate comfort level with qualitative methodologies and best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Evolve current channel attribution framework as well as enhancing our LTV methodology
  • Create and continuously optimize a holistic customer lifecycle view of our users, and work with CRM team to drive accretive value via marketing program optimizations and cohort analysis
  • Improve and refine existing channel forecasting tools in partnership with marketing managers
  • Analyze campaign and test results to optimize customer acquisition, retention and revenue
  • Lead the development and implementation of dynamic reporting tools to support the strategic goals of Marketing
  • Work with decision-makers across the company to understand their goals, identify opportunities to use data to develop new insights and improve business results
  • Develop best practices, build process improvements, and mentor team to improve overall analytics function at the company.

Requirements: ​

  • 8+ years of experience in online, e-commerce, or performance marketing analytics
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics or a related field (advanced degree a plus)
  • A strategic, cross-functional thinker able to gather buy-in from senior leadership for analytical and measurement framework approaches
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical (Data Science/Engineering) and non-technical stakeholders (Marketing/Finance).
  • Deep understanding of financial, statistical and economic concepts integrated into LTV modeling and forecasting
  • Working experience in data warehouse technologies
  • Experience with third-party web & mobile analytics tools
  • Excellent SQL skills and knowledge in Looker or similar business intelligence software
  • Understanding of machine learning, data science, R, Python is a plus
